Background: clinical evidence regarding signs and symptoms as well as definite clinical characteristics are still the cause of the severity of COVID-19. In Indonesia, the clinical
picture is the severity of COVID-19, and people without symptoms have a poor prognosis upon exposure. This study aimed to determine the relationship between clinical characteristics with severity of COVID-19. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted in Bogor, West Java
in 2020. A total of 148 COVID-19 patients were selected for this study. The dependent variable was severity of COVID-19. The independent variable were symptom, gender, age, marital status, blood pressure, blood sugar, LED, leukocytes, lymphocyte, platelet, SGOT & SGPT, creatinine, electrocardiogram, CT-scan profile, and blood group. The data
were collected by using a set of questionnaires and analyzed by logistic regression. Results: The severity of COVID-19 was associated with aged (OR= 0.98; 95% CI= 0.33
to 2.92; p= 0.967), symptoms (OR= 12.59; 95% CI= 3.46 to 45.88; p< 0.001), impaired
lymphocytes (OR= 1.75; 95% CI= 0.73 to 4.22; p= 0.210), impaired CT-scan (OR= 2.19; 95% CI= 0.76 to 6.33; p= 0.146), impaired electrocardiogram (OR= 8.99; 95% CI= 1.46
to 55.20; p= 0.018), impaired blood sugar (OR= 3.31; 95% CI= 1.04 to 10.51; p= 0.043).
Conclusion: The severity of COVID-19 is associated with age, symptoms, impaired
