EBOOK: Atlas of Mesotherapy in Skin Rejuvenation
Michel Pistor developed mesotherapy in France in 1952. The practice is well known for its
use in cellulite reduction. The goal of mesotherapy in skin rejuvenation is to increase the
biosynthetic capacity of fibroblasts with the reconstruction of an optimal physiological
environment, enlargement of cellular activity, and production of new collagen, elastin, and
hyaluronic acid, leading to increased firmness, brightness, and moisturization of the skin.
Injection into the superficial dermis of suitable products, perfectly biocompatible and
totally biodegradable, can provide this.
Decreasing of wrinkles is also possible when the procedure is repeated over time.
Mesotherapy in skin rejuvenation is also known as biorejuvenation, biorevitalization, or
mesolift.
