I want to acknowledge the people, particularly the children, who
have been harmed by medical errors. Hospitals were designed to
heal, to help the infirm and sick recover and return to a healthy
lifestyle. Great advancements in medicine have accomplished many
wonders and have brought healing to countless people. Nevertheless,
with no malicious intent, some hospitals have harmed rather than
healed people.
